Always Kiss Me Goodnight/Good Morning Frames

Hello!

I wanted to share these frames that I crafted for our bedroom! I think I first started noticing the trend of "Always Kiss Me Goodnight" art for bedrooms around 2009. I love the idea, but knew that of course I would want to make my own -- I was later inspired by this pin. (It was one of my first pins ever!) I also really liked the idea of also framing "always kiss me good morning" - if you're ending each day with love, why not also begin that way? :)

After we were married, I began to explore materials I wanted to use -- both those that I already owned and also an excuse to get new things from Archiver's ;) ... and here is what I came up with!

These didn't take me long at all to complete and got the ball rolling for us to hang things in our new home together. A little dream come true!

2 different distressed 8x10 frames (TJ Maxx)

Baby Shower Card

Hello there!

Finished this card today for a baby shower next weekend! I punched three 1.5" circles using a Fiskars punch. I stamped a different image onto each one, along with custom punny-phrases! I wish I could take all the credit for the pun, but I must admit that I was insprired by an example of someone else's - I believe somewhere on Pinterest. I've been waiting for a baby to come along so I could make someone a card with this fun sentiment!

I colored each image in using Copics and added Stickles (duh). A border punch, some bakers twine and cute patterned paper and voila! I'm actually way over-simplifying the description of my process, but those are the basics. :)

How cute is that lime green bakers twine? I found a HUGE roll of it at TJ Maxx - love that place!

Lawn Fawn mini

Hello there! I wanted to share this mini card I made a sweet little 2 year old I know. She is having her tonsils out and we know she'll need some cheering up.

I worked in 2 different Hallmark shops for about 5 years, and always had first chances for lots of goodies. Something I stocked up on were these mini cards with ribbon intended to be attached to gifts. I have used them for that, but I decided to experiment and make a mini. I love how it turned out!

I was so excited to receive Critters Ever After from Lawn Fawn! Congrats to LF on being featured in People via Zooey Deschanel! Love 'em both.

I stamped the unicorn, along with the mini heart, onto white cardstock. I colored it with Y, V, CG, and RV variety copics and went over the details with Glam Pink, Yellow, and Crystal Stickles. I did some quick-cutting around it and popped it up on thick foam squares. I stamped a sentiment from On The Mend in Jet Black Archival ink, and punched mini stars along the bottom. To fill the stars, I used Berry Sorbet cardstock from Papertrey Ink and added Tropical Tangerine Stickles. The final touch was some purple bakers twine from Doodlebug & Co.

Lawn Fawn class @ Papertrix!

Hey guys! I'm really happy to share my experience at the Papertrix class this past weekend.

In short, I had a BLAST! It was so exciting to meet Lynette, who is a member of the Lawn Fawn design team. I attended both of the classes she taught and learned some fun Lawn Fawn and Copic details. I am crazy for these stamps (they are really the only stamps I buy any more), and am still learning when it comes to Copics. I learned some great tips and techniques.

I also got to meet a few other nice ladies during my 2 classes -- it's always nice to make a new friend, but doubly so when they are crafty. I love being able to all sit around a table and talk about blending inks, smeared Stickles, Tim Holtz and Kelly Marie...and everyone knows exactly what you're talking about! It was my pleasure to meet and visit with Cheryl, who works at Papertrix. She even made a really sweet post about our fun day! Check out her blog here.

On to the projects! I am fiddling with learning to post from my cell phone, so I will post the photos at the very end...because right now that's the only way I know how. :)

In Class 1  we created two cards and a tag. The first card featured Making Frosty Friends, the second used Winter Owl, and the tag featured Winter Fox.

Also in Class 1, I won the door prize! I never have luck at things like that, so I was SO surprised and felt so lucky! My door prize included Let it Snow stamp set, And a Partridge stamp set, Fa La La petite paper pack, and a black ink pad. YAY!

In Class 2, we created 2 cards and a gift bag. The first card used Sweet Christmas, the second featured Let it Snow, and the gift bag used Fa La La papers.

I had an absolutely lovely time and feel so lucky to get to meet a design team member from my FAVORITE company! Lynette, you are such a great teacher. I hope to meet up again soon!

Lawn Fawn card + Class!

Wanted to share this fun little card I made for my friend Erin.

Materials used:
- gnome sweet gnome + you've got mail stamp sets
- peppermint cord
- textured golden yellow scrap
- stickles
- vintage photo distress ink/ink blender
- patterned paper from Dear Lizzy Neapolitan 6x6 pad
- sew easy stitch piercer/leprechaun floss
- diamond stickles
- memento tuxedo black ink
- copic markers
- cloud brads (recollections)

I am also really excited to share the news that on Saturday I'll be attending a LF class hosted by design team member Lynette, at one of my favorite papercraft stores, Papertrix. My new husband offered to travel the 5 hours round trip so that I could attend. I'm SO excited and I can't wait to share details of the class, I just know its going to be a blast!
